Baptism

The gospel is for children

Baptism

Because all of us are sinful from birth, and Jesus invites the little children to come to him and his kingdom, and he promises new life and washing from sins in baptism, we offer baptism for little children. We partner with parents to remind their children of their baptism, its blessings, and its power for Christian living.

Cradle Roll

Every six months until a child is four years old, we provide information for parents of young ones. These materials equip parents with tips and strategies to teach their children about Jesus, his love, and his Word.

Sunday School

During the school year from 9:15 - 10:15 on Sunday mornings, children from Preschool through 8th grade can come and sing songs, learn Bible stories, and take Bible passages to heart. The Sunday School children sing for worship a few times throughout the year. The Christmas Service in December is a highlight.

Catechism

Kids’ Spiritual Training

Catechism

St. Paul’s offers catechism classes for 7th-8th graders who attend our day school or a public school. We partner with parents to give the children a foundation in the main teachings of the Scriptures using Martin Luther’s Small Catechism. Upon the successful completion of the class, children are eligible for the rite of confirmation, where they promise faithfulness to Jesus and his Word, frequent use of the Gospel in Word and Sacrament, and faithfulness in a life of repentance.

Mindful Moms

Mothers bring their young children once a week for the children to play and the moms build Christian friendships. Some weeks the children stay with caring volunteers while the moms gather for Bible study. Other weeks, the mamas help the children with crafts, activities, or reading. The general meeting calendar is published to the church calendar page, but there is a more detailed calendar of events available upon request.
