Although Thanksgiving is a national holiday, it is very fitting for us Christians to give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, and his love endures forever. He gives us all we need for body and life, for forgiveness and salvation, for fellowship with him and with each other. It is easy for us to forget the Giver and focus on the gifts or to wish we had different gifts than we have. Today, God reminds us to give thanks to him for “Good and Perfect Gifts from Above”. Our sermon is based on Luke 19.
