A baby is born every 12 seconds. That’s 140 million babies born each year. Yet this child born on Christmas – there is something that sets him apart from all others. With this child, we have everything. Without him, we have nothing. What child is this? He honored his heavenly Father and his earthly parents perfectly. He suffered for us and made us holy. He is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters. Jesus is our obedient brother. After the build up to Christmas, the next day can feel like such a let down. Yet we have reason to rejoice today as we find the child Jesus, our obedient brother, in God’s house. Our sermon is from Psalm 84.
