our mission

“No one can lay any other foundation than that which has already been laid, which is Jesus Christ.” - 1 Corinthians 3:11

Building on the foundation of Jesus Christ in our broken world

We live in an increasingly polarized world. The world’s principles and permissiveness are growing more broken and more entrenched in their position. It can seem…on an issue of such magnitude…that the church is irrelevant. But that is the farthest thing from the truth.

The Church has the single most comprehensive social change available: the foundation of Jesus Christ and his resurrection. This is power for today’s world. This is power today’s needs. In this broken world and in our broken lives, that good news is a distinct power – and one that people need to know.

The gospel is the message of God’s love for us and Christ’s work on our behalf. Amid the deafening disagreement in our world, the gospel often goes unspoken and unheard. In this broken world, the gospel is a distinct power – and one that people need to know.

St. Paul’s exists to build on the foundation of Jesus Christ in our broken world.

our Values

Committed to truth
In our broken world, the foundation of Jesus Christ and his resurrection (gospel) will be heard not by increasing our volume but by maintaining our commitment to the truth. That truth comes only through unwavering commitment to the Holy Scriptures as the inspired, inerrant Word of God.

Prioritizing the eternal
Our commitment to truth is not to improve the behavior of individuals or influence the institutions of society but to change lives for eternity. The gospel is the best thing we can offer each other, our children, our community, and our world.

Compelled to excellence
Because the gospel is the best thing we can offer, we will offer the gospel the best we can. In service to our mission, we will gladly and gratefully offer the first and best of everything with which God has blessed us.

Living fearlessly
The gospel erases every line drawn by race, gender, age, and income and restores the communion God intended when he made us. It frees to live with hope, confidence, and joy in our broken world.

Rooted in heritage
No matter how tumultuous the times or how difficult the task, we are rooted in Jesus Christ’s accomplished victory and the power present in the gospel…recognizing the foundation of faith laid by generations past and building for generations to come.
